A few words about technology and design.
An interview with Mr. Paweł Reszyczyński, the Director of the Design Department.

Daniel Borkowski (Project Manager): Timberheim.de is a manufacturer of timber frame houses. From a technological standpoint, what are the advantages of building a house using this system over a traditional brick house?
Paweł Reszyczyński (Director of the Design Department):
Construction time
Savings on rent and living costs
Eco-friendly material
Energy efficiency
Modularity of the structure

D.B: Timberheim.de produces energy-efficient houses made of certified, highly durable wood. What exactly does this statement entail?
P.R: The structural timber used is in class C24, which is softwood sourced from pine and spruce trees. It has a specific set of parameters, including a compressive strength of up to 24 MPa. According to current regulations and building standards, this material is required for use in roof structures, timber frame houses, floors, and walls.
D.B: Working in this industry requires having a high-quality machinery park. How advanced are the technical and technological devices responsible for production at Timberheim.de?
P.R: The machinery we have includes:
• Woodworking center - Hundegger K1
• Processing center - Weeke BP155
• Optimization saw - OptiCut S 50
• Multifunctional bridge - WEINMANN
D.B: During the ordering (assembly) process, every building consists of hundreds of different materials. In the case of Timberheim.de products, how much of these materials are produced in-house, and in which cases do we rely on subcontractors?

P.R: As a manufacturer of timber houses, we process wood in our own sawmill, from which, after processing, we obtain:
• Solid structural timber C24
• Dried planed wood
• Roof battens
• Wooden facades
• Flooring boards
• Terrace boards
D.B: What does the process of designing a new house, which is to be introduced to the offer, look like? How long does such a process take? Where do the ideas for new projects come from?
P.R: The design process goes step by step:
Step 1. Idea
Step 2. Market research
Step 3. Concept
Step 4. Financial analysis
Step 5. Preliminary design
Step 6. Construction design
Step 7. Execution design
D.B: How long does this process take?
P.R: About 6 months.
D.B: Which stage of designing a house can be considered the most difficult and demanding?
P.R: Coordinating all the elements of the building in the design phase and their subsequent implementation.
D.B: How important is the experience of the person undertaking such a project in the process of designing a house? How many problems can be avoided if we choose an experienced designer?
P.R: The answer is already in the question. The more experienced the designer, the fewer mistakes. On the other hand, it's not about mistakes, but rather that an experienced designer can better understand the needs and expectations of the investor and propose solutions that are, for example, eco-friendly, more functional, and most importantly, economical in relation to the planned budget of the house and its future operation.
